This 5-day stopover takes you to the heart of one of Europe’s favourite coastal cities. Plus, you’ll go beyond the walls to discover nearby islands and Montenegro.
Only one hour from Dubrovnik, Montenegro might not leap out at you from the map, but its natural beauty will leave a strong imprint on your imagination. Explore the medieval coastal towns of Kotor and Budva, a city rebuilt in its original Venetian style. Your second day takes you to Korcula, a beautiful island where beaches surround olive groves, vineyards and villages. Many of the cathedrals and monasteries date back to medieval times, so you’ll have plenty of time to experience the charm of the local streets. Before returning to Dubrovnik, enjoy a tasting at a local winery. It might not be the most famous drop, but Croatian wine has a proud history dating back 2,500 years!
Spend your last full day at leisure exploring Dubrovnik proper. Follow the city wall, lose yourself in the old town, or spend a few hours exploring the rich restaurant and bar culture that has filled the ancient streets.
